This artifact collection is part of the debut EKTIMIS Special Edition Artifact Series. The collection honors and brings focus to the role of firefighter, a public service function and one of the most noble and highly esteemed positions in society today.
Firefighter Occupation Highlights
A firefighter is typically a public service role. The primary functions of a firefighter include saving lives, saving property, and protecting the environment (among several public service functions). The common attributes of the many individuals (men and women) who choose to serve as firefighters, that earn them additional measures of respect, include their sense of duty, their dedication to their work, their professionalism, and above all, their bravery. The nature of their work exposes them to a relatively high level of risk that can claim, and has claimed, their lives in the line of duty.
